Material is a rubberlike feel and very durable. I love there are no wires attached so I can use anywhere. It is rechargeable and holds a charge for a long time. The massage, heat and electropulse features are very responsive and effective. I love the remote control to change setting without having to readjust. Works great for my neck tension. Took a bit to figure out the controls and read that you should dampen the heaters before using. I got it because over the past two years, I have lost most feeling in both arms, shoulders, most of my head and upper torso (it is a numbness that is hard to explain). Anyway, my mom had seen an ad and said I should try it. It was much cheaper than a nerve conduction test so I thought it was worth a shot. I've been using once a day for a couple of weeks now. It seems to be doing something because my middle fingers seem to be regaining some feeling in them so I will keep using it and hopefully I will return to normal eventually.

I really love this device! Neck problems for years and lots of procedures to help with the pain. Most every day I use heat and a tens unit several times a day but with this I have everything all in one unit. My daughter and SIL tried it when they were here and I thought they were going to take it home. I did have an issue with finding the right spot I could put it because my neck is sensitive to touch but once I did is wonderful and I am very happy with this purchase.

I bought this as a gift for my wife and it has become a family product. We each us it at some point in the day when we need a break from staring at our computers and the positioning and heat settings work out really well for us. The ability to "reverse" the unit to reach different points really pays dividends and the ability to place it where you want to use it with a cord is a massive plus for us. With or without heat this has done wonders to relax our necks and lessen our stress headaches. Wonderful Christmas gift!
